⚖️ Standings Ranking Standards
In typical World Cup tournament formats, teams are ranked within their groups according to the following order of tie-breaking criteria:
- Highest Number of Points: Obtained in all group matches.
- Superior Goal Difference: In all group matches.
- Highest Number of Goals Scored: In all group matches.
- Head-to-Head Records: If two or more teams remain perfectly level based on points, goal difference, and goals scored, head-to-head parameters (points, goal difference, goals scored between the tied teams) are analyzed.
- Fair Play Conduct points: Based on yellow and red cards accumulated.
